Be Forewarned...

Warning: At the end of this post there is an "Extreme Close-Up" of Smegel.
Brace yourselves.
This is what allergies do to an otherwise beautiful girl. Pity. But in response to the public's demand for more pictures of Bella, I am delivering, and this is the most recent shot of her, taken yesterday.
No matter what your feelings are toward my hairless cats, there is one quality about Smegel in particular that should unite us together- Even knit our hearts in unity and love. He is great with Bella. The other cats run when she has a terrorizing gleam in her eye, or lets out the tell-tale squeal of delight that lets me know she has just found a cache of kitties. The hairless cats like to cuddle up together and sleep with fleece blankets for warmth. One of their favorite spots is circled on our "foof" chair. Bella knows this.
Recently she has started giving kisses, and she lavishes such kisses upon man and cat alike. Smegel is the only cat that lets her maul him, so he is the lucky recipient of such love.

This is how Bella "pets" Smegel. I try to show her 'soft, soft', but to no avail. Smegel just bears down, closes his eyes, and takes it. (C'mon, doesn't that earn him any points?) He never runs away, let alone swats at her or bites her. He just takes it.

SO this is dear Smegel, resting after his maul session, er, I mean, petting session from Bella. What a sweetie...Smegel and Bella both.

The one of her gripping his flesh puts a smile on my face for some reason! She is cute for sure, and Smegel has earned a few extra points in my book. How did the allergy medicine work btw?

Okay, Smeagel does win some points for putting up with that. I am kind of disturbed about her kissing him, but I love the shot of her clutching him.

I have never heard of such a patient, long-suffering pet! Let's hope Bella doesn't try this with someone else's less tolerant pet. I agree--my favorite shot is the one of Bella clutching, and I also agree that she gets cuter every time I see her!

Me to!! Smegel has earned a bunch of points in my book. I laughed out loud at the picture of Bella clutching his skin. Never heard of a cat that would tolerate a todler!! I take back some of my comments about the creature. YEP! Bella is way too CUTE!!

It is most admirable that Smegel puts up with Bella's aggressive affection, but I still feel sick when I think of her putting her mouth on him. Ew.

I have to say, even the close-up of Smeagel's face is not bothering me. I think it's his body that kind of sicks me out. He's kind of cute when you just see his face! But I still don't want to think of Bella putting her mouth on him...

I love her little curls too. So cute!

I have never seen a hairless cat up close like that!! I might have nightmares tonight! He does sound like a good cat...I just have a hard time with the whole hairless thing...

You disarm us with the very awesome nursery and then go straight for the cat...hmmmm

We have had cats that tolerate torture from the kids as well. (They were regular cats though) I do appreciate when the animals let the kids "play" with them.

I have to admit, I have no problem with pets lacking fur, but I couldn't believe Bella had her mouth on the cat.
