Isabella's Nursery

Ever since Michelle posted about her nursery, I have wanted to post about mine. Where Eva's colors are pink and chocolate, Bella's are pink and green. Where I consider Eva's nursery to be timeless and romantic, I consider Bella's to be a little bit funky and playful. I love Bella's nursery, and only wish that we weren't renting so I could have beautiful wordworking like Michelle did. At least they let us paint- I *love* the color, and I am proud that I picked it out myself and got my mom's color-expert approval. It is an old Sherwin Williams color called Sassy Green. Perfect name too. Michelle and my nurseries do have one thing in common- almost everything came from mom, and I love my nursery too.

It's a pretty small room, but we do what we can. There is an antique pink dresser that Timm bought for me when I was pregnant with Lola, and a wine-rack turned changing table from mom. The greatest thing is probably my green ultra-suede rocker. I love that thing! Cute and comfortable.

Cute shelf, also courtesy of mom, as is I think all of it's contents.

Detail of lamp courtesy of mom.
Cute crystal knob courtesy of mom, because every girl deserves a little sparkle, or 'bling', as I like to say.

In keeping with the bling theory- her own chandelier, courtesy of: that's right, mom.

Who knew a wine rack could make such a cute changing table and I could display diapers so artfully?

Cute rug from...mom.

One of the best things about having the benefactors that I do (mom and dad) is that I can look rich and extravagant even though I am in need of assistance from Wal*Mart's hiring department. My house is so cute, if I do say so myself, simply because my parents have outfitted it. There is hardly anything in my house that I have actually bought. This makes me feel like a loser, and grateful simultaneously, but either way I wouldn't trade it for anything!
I did a really cute layout of the nursery but can't post it for the off-chance that I would ever be able to get it published.
All these photos with dial-up? That's dedication people.

DARLING! I've seen your nursery in person, and it's even cuter in these photos than I remember. I especially love your wine rack/changing table. (The shoes on the shelf, by the way, are ones I gave you that used to be Charlotte's--glad to contribute in some small way to the glorious cuteness of this room!) :)

I know dpw- I forgot to mention. That silly little toy is one I had when I was just a "yoodoo" girl. (translation for everyone else: "little") Mom only let me have it at church, and it is one of *very* few things from our childhood that mom actually kept. I'm so glad!

The nursery is wicked cute, and that's the cutest way of displaying diapers that I've ever seen. Bella and Eva are princesses for sure. Luxurious nurseries like yours and Michelle's are definitely not the norm.

It is indeed such a cute nursery. After seeing the nursery when you had it outfitted for Lola, I was determined to finally have the nursery of my dreams because yours was so dang cute. My favorite thing of all is the sassy green!

seriously- the wine rack is the best idea ever. Also, where did you get the shelf? I love how ornate it is. Also love the lamp. Every girl needs a little glitter.

How funny that your nursery is the same exact color of my hallway - Sassy Green! It took me forever (exactly 2-1/2 years!) to decide on a color... I'm not the most decisive person needless to say. I love both Eva and Bella's nursery - way too cute. I'm still covetous of your chair... I ended up buying a really dumb, ugly one after no response from Susan (she is the busiest person ever!).

maybe I'll come get a job at Wal Mart with you so I can have a nursery for Ethan who, at almost two, STILL sleeps in my closet! so coveting the sassy green and the mom who shops!

Your nursery is just as cute as Michelle's! But, really, could I have possibly expected otherwise? I love the wine rack idea! It seems that there are always really creative uses for wine racks out there--other than for storing wine. I would never feel like a loser because I have such giving parents with such good taste! I would adore receiving things from my Mom (if she had your Mom's taste!) for my house and I wouldn't feel a quiver of anything but joy.

So cute. I need to get going on Miriam's room...she's 2 and I still haven't painted. Seeing your photos is VERY motivating. Thank you.
I love it when people aren't afraid to show their cute decorating because people like myself need a lot of help in that area. Show the rest of your house!
