Scrapping Schitzophrenia

Does anyone else suffer from this? I thought I had finally developed my own unique style, and was pretty psyched about it. I created all those layouts for Hall of Fame, and at the time, I really loved them and thought they should win. Now I don't like them anymore. I always do this and it's so irritating! How could I *LOVE* them 6 months ago, and now I am either ambivalent, or I actually dislike them? Because I'm a weirdo, that's why.
For instance, right now, I am so loving Ali Edwards. (But who doesn't?)I think I want to emulate her, but when I try to speak 'Ali', it all comes out 'Elsie'.
I have made 3 of my layouts for Imaginisce, and so far I really like them all. But check back with me in 6 months.
I'll let you guys know if any of my LO's get published.

I'm shocked by this news because you seemed so comfortable with your creatively embellished style, it's hard to imagine you toning things down, but hey maybe your style is an evolving style that changes with your mood. That also makes sense for you because your personal style changes often too (hair especially). I never know what you'll look like from one time to the next (unlike me who NEVER changes except to look larger).

I struggle with style issues for scrapbooking and haven't actually scrapbooked at all this year! I've actually been wondering if that's even something I want to do anymore. I like the immediate gratification of blogging and feel like I'd like to scrapbook more this way. This is very surprising to me because I love all the papers and supplies in the stores, and I've been very anti-digital scrapbooking up till now. I have no plans to change over, but I also have no plans to scrapbook either.

You are a weirdo for sure. (let's not forget Weirdicus Jess...) I loved the pages you did for HOF and I still love them just as much! In fact, I'm green with envy over them, and everything else you do. I don't much like my pages when I look back at them, but that's because they're not half as cute as all of yours! What's your excuse?

That said, I feel like I want to emulate about 8 different styles, and haven't really developed a signature style of my own, so I can definitely relate to the schitzophrenia.

By the way, Jill's comment is totally disturbing and upsetting me. She doesn't even know if she wants to scrapbook anymore?! So much for the birthday gift I gave her! Yikes. How does she pull out something so shocking and I've never heard about it? (payback for my Paris announcement?)

I can't wait to see your latest work for Imaginisce (I'm not really liking that contrived name).

This is too weird because I think almost anyone here would take your place in a heartbeat. I think it is great that your style is ever changing because how boring would that be to have years and years of the exact same style- I would run out of ideas personally. I love your HOF stuff and I think as long as you loved the process, then good. I don't think future generations are going to gasp in horror- I mean they are total works of art and expressions of you at that time in your life. You are amazing and deserving of any design team there is, schitzophrenic or not.

I never got to see your HOF stuff and I am dying to see your Imaginece stuff! (Like Michelle, don't love the name. It's hard, not catchy- but what do you do?)
I hate pages when I finish them, love them a day later, and wish I had done something different a year later. But, what I did do tells part of the story of who I was at the time and what our likes were...
What the he**! I am SO disturbed by Jill's comment. Speechless really... speechless!

I can relate but sometimes it works the other way and something that I am frustrated with looks better with some distance (time). I haven't actually scrapbooked for a very long time so I really don't know what I am talking about.

I do this all the time too. I usually will love a page and a couple of weeks later wonder "what was I thinking?"

Don't worry- it will be okay.
