I have no idea where this song came from- just from the inner workings of her imaginative mind.
We were at the doctor's office yesterday for about 2 hours and she was a trooper, though growing weary of watching the barrage of testing I endured when she started singing this song. Other verses include 'Dumpy Elephant don't be sad, just be happy' and a seemingly endless round of the other verse, imploring Dumpy Elephant not to go far, and just to stay close. Whatever.
The first video is my favorite, but I forgot about the orientation so I took the second one too.

So sweet! I loved when Kaitlin started making up her own songs. I think it's a mark of great imagination and intelligence. ;)
Oh my, 2 hours at the doctor's office, that sounds painful for both of you. I hope this means you found some reasonable health care.
The video is very cute.
She is just so darn cute. Won't that be fun to show her when she's older?
We spent hours at the doctor's office (and hospital) on Friday, too. Blah.
Miss you!
WAY too cute! I can just imagine herself entertaining herself (all all others!) with this!
After we spoke, I realized that you had taken her with you and couldn't imagine how!
I guess this tells some of the story!
She's got a hit on her hands, for sure! "Dumpy Elephant Don't Be Sad" sounds like a real chart-topper.
I'm she is the most darling little girl...I love her!! I hope I have a little one just like her.
Dumpy Elephant, huh? That is too funny! I love love love it when little kids sing -- especially their own songs!
Our little Cassie enjoyed her song. She asked me to watch it over and over. She also likes to see herself in the video camera.
ok your daughter is really adorable. and your voice sounds just like it did 10 years ago! which makes sense but is weird all the same.
