Yard Sale

Okay, so this happened a while ago. So long ago that it seems stupid ("Mom! Don't say 'stupid'!") to post about it. However, I loaded the photos back when it happened so it's still a go. We had a yard sale at Miss Molly's house because she was kind enough to host it. Me, Molly, Faith and her friend Priscilla participated. I had a lot more to sell than I thought I would, including a lot of scrap stuff like all the leftovers from Lola's Legacy.
This was poor Molly's jam-packed garage the night before with only some of our things.

Molly, looking cute as usual, in her cashier's apron that I want to copy. It reminds me of one of my favorite books as a child, 'Katy No-Pockets'. I used to read it in my grandma's blue bedroom and it always inspired in me a great desire for a full-length apron with so many pockets.
Little Fi was quite the trooper as I wore in my sash for much of the day. (I love this thing! Nana gave it to us and it is Moby brand. Check it out!)
Seeing this picture was my first inclination that I might be fatter than I thought-
It was terribly, terribly confirmed in this picture. (Left to right- Me, Priscilla,Faith, and Molly.)
In the end I made about $150 but didn't sell nearly as much as I had hoped. I took a lot of cues from Molly as far as pricing. We're doing it again in March when her neighborhood holds another big yard sale. Here's to better pricing and better selling next time!
Boring post. That's what happens when you delay 3 or 4 weeks from the event. Bah.

Wow $150 is a lot to make at a yard sale. I know you're the queen of getting rid of things, but I'm baffled as to how you have so much to sell.

So funny to wake up to this post, as I was just wondering how the yard sale went. I think $150 is pretty good considering you weren't selling furniture or anything.

Molly's apron is adorable. Did I tell you I found a copy of Katy No-Pockets at the library sale? I was so excited!

I have a hotsling that I LOVE! I still put Stella on it to carry her on my hip. The Moby ones look great as well.

150$ is 150$.

Maybe the spring one will bring more people out!

I agree with Shannon, it's $150 cash that was formerly just stuff cluttering up your house. Not a bad deal!

I also have fond memories of Katy No Pocket, as it was a book Grandma bought me from a Scholastic Book order when I was in about second grade. That's how old that book is! I loved it when I was little, too.

$150??? I don't think I have enough crap in my house that people would want to get close to that. Yeah for purging!

That apron is killing me...
