Money Saving Tip:

Cycle to the store.
Your purchases will be limited to what you can fit into your bike trailer and how much extra weight you are willing to haul back with you. That, or after your first trip you will learn to take the proper considerations.
At first the going was a little hard, but when I realized that I had the gears set to the hardest setting instead of the easiest, things improved quickly. This small change repaired some lost confidence from my last bike outing, when I was dismayed at my apparent and complete lack of physical strength. Turns out I was just pedaling against the most strenuous resistance, all the time.
(M'kay, I'm getting really sick of Blogger auto-rotating my photos and doing it incorrectly. )
After I stashed as many bags as possible into the back of the trailer I had to fill in the space around Fiona in the front as well. Luckily I kept her happy with a FiberOne bar on the way home.
A word to the wise: cabbages are especially heavy. So is butternut squash.
At least the bike's pretty cute.
Good thing I got ready before I biked the 3 miles each way.
What, you can't tell?

Crap. I am jealous of that setup. I'm also jealous of people who don't live on top of a giant hill that they're too scared to ride down for fear of getting taken out by a pickup truck going 50 mph and are quite certain they would not be able to ride back up the hill even if they made it down alive.

So. Excuses. That is the theme of this comment.

By the way, I'm very impressed with you.

Nicely done! But why in the world did you do your hair before a 6 mile bike ride? Silly girl. Totally cute bike.

Wow, that was an ambitious outing! I can totally see myself getting to the store, but then being too jiggly-legged and tired to make it home.

Love it! Don't you feel so accomplished? I've walked to/from the grocery store several times in better weather, and I'm always surprised by how much weight my stroller can take. Riding would be really fun.

I love this Jessie! Not only is it money saving, it gets your exercise out of the way and Fi probably loves it! I used to walk to the store with my girls all the time just to get out of the house for something different.

Getting ready before- only you!

i love beach cruisers....yours is very cute.

i rode my bike to walmart the other day...only about 1 mile each way....and was wishing for my bike trailer b/c my bags were too big for my basket and then i had to have a bag swinging from the handle bars. it was awkward.

i wish i lived somewhere that had a cute place to shop instead of walmart to bike to, but oh well.
