Remember when I posted this in-progress photo? (Or, you could just glance upwards at my banner...) The result is this twin-size quilt top, comprised of 12 different prints, I made for Bella. It came together a lot faster than I anticipated. I need to make the second quilt top for Fiona, buy about 15 yards for the backs and then find somewhere or someone to quilt them for me- no small expense, unfortunately.
This is in preparation for their sharing a room sometime in the relatively near future- a fate Bella is sure that she doesn't want, but one that she will nevertheless meet.
So satisfying to "finish" a large project!
Have I mentioned I love quilts?

Oh my! That is too oooooooo cute! Love it!
Sharing a room could be traumatic for sure, but something that is endured by many. Maybe she'll feel about Fiona much like the perception of Dorthea Dix...one of my favorite quotes(!).

I'm anxious to see the total finished product! Good design on all counts.
I agree with your mother, it is so cute!
Bella may not appreciate sharing a room now, but later she may come to appreciate it.
Wow. That was fast! I love the fabrics you chose.
Cute pattern! And cute fabrics, of course. Your points look great. I am itching to make a quilt again.
Although Max doesn't love sharing a room, I think it has been a great thing for my boys. They are great friends, and Lucas is so sad when Max is gone and he has to sleep alone.
p.s. my comment verification word is "fakings"!
That is a gorgeous quilt. The pattern, the colors, they're all perfection.
zig, zags, oh my! I enjoy quilting but the biggest set back with for me is deciding what to make. Seriously, I have quilting A.D.D. Too many beautiful patterns and fabrics make the process somewhat overwhelming. Yours turned out lovely. :)
This is so, so darling and will look way cute in "their" room.
My sister and I shared a room and have some really funny stories from it. However, with that being said, I am not sure there was a happier girl, than I, the summer we dropped her off at BYU!
I LoVE it! It is so awesome. Great job!! Thanks for posting the link. I think I have my new project now. You are the best
Hey the link didn't work

I am a firm believer in room sharing :) You know this!!!
