Introductions

The time has come for everyone who even occasionally reads or comments on my blog to introduce themselves. Not for me obviously, but for everyone else. I know that there are several people who comment and see other's comments, and have no idea who each other are. It's time to clear that up. Please leave a comment introducing yourself and how you do or do not know me. Then we'll all feel a little more intimate. This means all of you: those who faithfully comment, those who occasionally comment, those who faithfully read and never comment, those who are looking at this for the first time: ALL. (Amie, where did this misconception come from that I don't like 'strangers' commenting? I love and welcome ALL commenters. And I will post those recipes, but gimme some time, it'll take a few minutes. I have not forgotten.) So- now, "talk amongst yourselves." Let's get to know each other. I may learn something too.

Hi, my name is Jill. I'm Jessie's sister Michelle's friend of 16 years. I met Jessie at Michelle's wedding when Jessie was just a wee child of 10. I have scrapbooked with Jessie, gotten good mail from Jessie, sent good mail to Jessie, gone on vacation with Jessie, Michelle, and their family, and am pretty much super entrenched in their world--and am happy to be there. I love Jessie's blog, especially her genius creations, and am starting to get over my discriminationatory feelings about her freaky cats. Thanks and pleased to meet you.

That was supposed to be discriminatory feelings--not discriminationatory--oops.

My name is Hannah. I met Jessie when we both worked for Leaving Prints, but it was weird at first as she had just lost her Lola and I was very pregnant with Mya. I don't even think I ever really talked to her until she was pregnant with Bella. We didn't really hang out until she started a book club that I was thrilled to be invited to. Now we also have a little play group and Mya asks daily about where Baby Bella is. We are starting to have some game nights with our husbands and Robin and Mark, and those have been awesome. I am hoping that some of Jessie's creative juices rub off on me at some point in our friendship, that is why I am her friend afterall.

I am part of Michelle's group of friends who loves to steal great ideas from people like Jessie!
I met Jessie when Marc organized a "while you were out" makeover of Michelle's craft room. We have seen more of each other at stamp parties and scrapbook overnighters.
I love Jessie's blog because of all her cool projects!

Hi, my name is Kim and I live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband, Jared and my 7 month old son, Mitch. I met and got to know Jessie when we lived together in the "Regency Apartments" while attending BYU during the fall of 2000 and the spring of 2001. Since she was from Pennsylvania and I was from Ohio (two states that border each other...) we had an instant connection! :)(Just joking about the state thing..) As most of you know, she is a girl who is hard to not like! Over the past few years we haven't kept in touch so I am excited to be back in communication with her through her blog!

I'm Jessie's big sister Michelle. I am loving how our lives are developing more overlap in new and interesting ways thanks to blogging! I'm also inspired by Jessie in a big way.

I met Jessie through working at Leaving Prints. We became good friends while working there - I have always been drawn to Jessie's sense of humor, taste in music, courage in facing her trials, and overall awesomeness. I am also a part of her book club (which has been fantastic for me - yay for reading for fun during school and girl's night outs!), and my husband Mark and I love hanging out with her and Timm. New game nights with them and Linc and Hannah are definitely a new bonus. Mark and I are also unofficially the cat's godparents and sitters.

I'm Jessie's 18 year old cousin Charlotte (Denise's daughter). She lived out here in CO with Grandma and Grandpa a couple of times and so I got to really know and bond with her during those months. I love going out to UT to visit her, Timm, Bella, and Michelle and I can't wait to move out for school next fall! (Oh and I'm little Charlotte because our Grandma is the elder Charlotte!)

Hi my name is Tina Hoke Escobedo and I have known Jessie for several years through our mutual friend Erin. I lived in Utah for almost 6 years and moved to Texas about 2 years ago. Jessie, I have't spoken to you in such a long time but would always ask Erin how you were. I originally moved to Dallas met my husanbd Lee and he and I got married July 2, 2005. Shortly after, we got transferred to Abilene Texas (in the middle of no where) and are expecting our first baby September 20, 2006. It's an exciting time for us and we are looking forward to our new arrival. I told Erin that I was bored at work one day and she gave me your site to look at amongst several others. It's been a couple of months since and I read your blog almost everyday. I am constantly amazed at your creativity, talent and how you just have it all together.

I'm Amie....connected through Jill. I did see you once in passing at one of Jill's stamp parties but I was coming as you were going. I have been going to Seven Peaks with Michelle and Jill for the past two summers and have met the other book club girls a few times and now stalk them on their blogs. I enjoy reading your blog and the realness you portray. Looking forward to getting to know you at Seven Peaks and will apologize now...I am planning to stick to the 3 day diet but I can't see that kind of miracle happening in two months!

(I will get Becca over here to introduce herself, I don't know where she got the un-invitation...it obviously didn't stop me!)

Hey, I'm Emily, Jessie's white girl poser cousin. (Also a daughter of Denise.) I consider myself an Uh-Oh Oreo-White on the outside, black on the inside. You can ask Jessie and Michelle about by sweet rapping skills. (I hope that you can pick up on the sarcasm.) I love Jessie, and wish that I could see more of her, Timm and Bella.

Emily, I can't believe you wrote that. You're such a poser.

Hi, my name is Becca and I am Amie's sister. I live in Orange County, Ca. I have read your blog many times at the prompting of Amie (I too have done the "no sugar" thing). I hope you don't mind my occasional peaking, I was especially inspired by your yummy chicken dinner pic and would LOVE all those recipes! I am trying to be a better cook, but I need A LOT of help! Feel free to browse through my blog at any time (I am linked to Amie)!

Hi, I'm Rachelle. Jessie and I used to live next to eachother in Provo. I am the mother of Daniel, who is 2 1/2 years old. Jessie is one of my best friends and my scrapbooking guru. (And my Weight Watchers guru as well!) I'm also in the book club and have loved getting to know Hannah and Robin.
Jessie and I met at kind of a weird time in our lives. We have cried on eachother's shoulders a lot. I'm so thankful for Jessie (her family, too) and I love reading her blog. One of these days (hopefully soon) I'm going to start a blog of my own!

Hi; my name is Melissa and I am a friend of Jessie's through her aunt Denise and her grandma. I live in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and pretend to be part of her family because they are the coolest. I loved it when Jessie lived here for a few summers and we were able to hang out. Jessie is also who I saw the movie Chocolat with at the fifty-cent theatre in Provo.I think Jessie is blessed with the creativity and beauty genes that so many in her family possess, but like Denise, you can't hate her because she is so great! I rely on Jessie for the trends in scrapbooking and for advice on good-reads. I wish that we could visit more often, but for now I love reading her blog and pretending to be part of her life.

I love that Tina commented!!!! Tina, you're the best and I love you!!!!! and miss you like crazy. Also, I love you Jessie Lyne (remember when you liked to spell it that way) Taylor -- Tanner. That's still weird for me. Jess and I have known eachother since we were 13 and have been through ALOT together, yet we've missed some of the biggest times in eachother's lives also. But it's never felt that I wasn't there. Jess is real and a brilliant artist and fun and "intense" and I love it. She's seen some of my dumbest moments and I hers and yet they've never effected the way we view eachother. At least on my part. I love you! and Sadie monster and Maddy monster love you too.

Remember when we were illegally swimming at Tyler park with Roo and Sadie and Roo kept trying to cling to me and I kept freaking out because of all the seaweed and possible water mochassins...and then just a few weeks later all of the sudden Roo was a champion swimmer and Sadie almost drowned. That just popped in my head, I don't know why.

Hi, my name is Alison... and I don't know Jessie. At all. I started blogging a few months ago, especially at my various temp. jobs, and I was a big fan of hitting "Next Blog." I stumbled upon Jessie's blog, and I really, really liked it. So I have been reading it ever since! I'm 22 years old, and I am an actress living in New York City. I live with my boyfriend, Nick, in a tiny studio apartment in Manhattan. This past week, I have been highlighting at a law firm for a living. Wooo! I hope my faithful dedication to Jessie's blog does not seem "creepy"... because I hope people I don't know enjoy my blog as well. It's nice to meet you all.

Hello to all! My name is Denise and I'm Jessie's and Michelle's aunt. Their mom Susan is one of my older sisters. They're all so beautiful and talented, I can't believe I'm related to them! I look forward to reading the girls' blogs each day but have been somewhat behind because right now I'm visiting Jessie's parents in Pennsylvania and I haven't had as much time to log on. I love the way I feel connected to their everyday lives by reading their blogs. Blog on!

Hi, I'm Ashley, Jessie's cousin (Patti, the oldest Petersen child, is my mother). I live in Seattle and just had my first baby, Henri, in November. I have been close to Michelle all my life and, in fact, I know a few of you from the ol' BYU days in the dorms! I also lived with Jessie and family in Pennsylvania for a year when she was a lil' thang! Shell introduced me to this blog stuff with her blog and then I started reading both Michelle and Jessie's blogs every couple of days. I love it because I feel like I'm a part of their lives again even though we live far apart. I don't know how they do it, but I am inspired by their creativity and amazing mothering abilities!

Hi, I'm Pam and I live in Chicago, I haven't met Jessie just her blog. I'm a friend of Jill's and I briefly met Michelle at Jill's wedding. Jill and I have know each other for about 13 years or so. It's nice to hear from everyone and hear who is who. It's also nice to finally put together that Michelle and Jessie are sisters (I'm a little slow) Thanks for your blog, I always have a good time on your site.

Hi, I'm the mother, a job which--most of the time now--I quite enjoy. Jessie has always been an amazing person and I admire her more and more as the years pass.

BTW, Grandma and Grandpa also read your blog, but usually Grandpa prints it and reads it to Grandma before bedtime. I don't think he's often at the computer when he reads it, so that could be one reason he never comments.
