Good Mail Return

So between Friday and Saturday of last week I sent out a total of 12 cards and 8 packages. It felt great. One of the things I love about sending good mail is the anticipation of it getting there. I love the excitement of anticipating when the item will be received and imagining the intended happiness it will incite. I love the surprise of it, and thinking of the recipient as I prepare the item and wait for it's arrival. That's really all the thanks or return that is needed as far as I am concerned with good mail. But the wonderful thing about it, is that is rarely all I receive.

For instance, yesterday I dropped a small goodie off at Diana's house. (She lives in my ward, actually just several yards away, so I did a personal drop-off.) And tonight, she dropped this lovely "Get Lost Starter Kit" off at my house. What quick turn around! I think that is the fastest good mail turn around I have yet to see. It was within about 12 hours. She noted that I made a comment on her blog about wishing I would have gotten into Lost, but that now it seems a little late. (As if I need more tv shows to watch...) So she lent me her Season 1, and provided for some snacking while watching. (A necessity.) I admit that at first when I saw that the bag contained snacks, I was alarmed. I was afraid of what tempting diet-wrecking delights were inside. Instead, what a pleasant surprise- delights that are not diet-wrecking! It's one thing to consider my diet and provide snacks that won't wreck that, but to also make sure that they are tasty- How wonderful! I love Kettle Corn and I am excited to try the flavored water.
Good mail is a great thing. Thanks Diana. :)

I will be making a post about it probably tomorrow night (I need to finish up my reading for scuba class), but THANK YOU so much for the good mail, Jessie! I will definitely be highlighting it in my blog. It definitely brightened a hectic day (:

Isn't that wonderful when someone does something that shows they were really thinking about you? So thoughtful. And my goodness but you've been on a good mail jag! 12 cards? 8 packages? You're a wonder.

What a great mail turn around. I'm so excited for you to get to watch Lost. When Randy and I borrowed the dvds from his friend we were so hooked. We're dying for Season 2 to come out so we can catch up to everyone else. It's awesome.

I'm reeling a bit that you sent 12 cards and 8 packages--you're either out of control or so very in control it's frightening. Thanks for including me in the package-sending frenzy. I totally know what you mean about the anticipation of the good mail arriving at its destination. I love that too and am always calculating when it will get there. 3-day weekends drive me crazy because of that.

Jessie, I just want to let you know that your post has made me rededicate myself to completing Season One of Lost. While eating popcorn. Enjoy!

What a fun gift. I watched the first season, but got lost (no pun intended) in the second season. Be forewarned: You are going to become addicted. It really is a fabulous show. It is always the watercooler topic every Thursday morning. Last week my boss told everyone to "GET BACK TO WORK". Ha! We just moved into my office.

Lost is the only show I watch now, so I fully support you getting addicted to it :D I think Linc and I watched the first season in like a week, maybe a week and a half! You guys are going to love it!

Okay, so I totally live under a rock, really. I didn't realize so many people were addicted to the show Lost. Maybe I'll have to start watching. Now that American Idol is over, I'm at a loss for any type of television entertainment. You'll have to let me know if it's worth sitting on an uncomfortable futon on a carpet scrap in an unfinished basement to watch. :)

First of all, I am so impressed that you sent so much good mail, and feel so lucky that I was a recipient! Thank-you.
Second of all, I cannot wait for you to watch "Lost!" It is my current favorite show, though I got so behind that I am now anxiously awaiting the second season to come out on DVD. I know you will love it! Diana is awesome!

I, too, was a joyful recipient of good mail from Jessie! Thank you, it was so much fun to open my tatty mailbox and find five cards and a padded manilla envelope. It made my day!

I guess I'll have to succcomb to peer pressure and put Lost in my Netflix queue. I have also been lamenting that all my favorite shows (Idol, Law and Order, and 24) are now over for the season. I feel sort of lame to admit how much I miss having one of my favorite shows to look forward to at the end of the day.
