Return of the Inconsequential Post.

I am sorry. I am sorry that a) I haven't posted in two days, and b) on my return post, I have nothing to say. I have no pictures, I have no stories. I am afraid that this post may actually detract from your bloggin experience and make you less likely to visit my site in the future. I understand completely. But in the interest of not dropping off the face of the internet, I am blogging regardless. I planned to take a picture of my latest delivery for Lola's Legacy. On Friday I got a box from Chatterbox, as well as one from American Crafts. I was looking not stale and arranged myself with all the products in a pleasing array. I was all set and had Timm poised to take the picture, and alas, my batteries were dead. I need help here- I have my new Canon Powershot IS 2S, and I love it- EXCEPT, the battery situation. When I first used the camera, the rechargeable aa batteries lasted for about 2 weeks and I was ecstatic! But ever since, when I charge them they only last for a couple of hours and it is *maddening!* I have tried charging them for short periods of time, and long periods of time, all to no avail. What am I doing wrong here, and how can I fix this?
In the mean time, I promise to try to think of better postings and pictures. I'm going to do my blogging penance now.
BTW, does anyone else think it odd that Bloggers spellcheck doesn't have 'blog' in it's dictionary?

You can but batteries by a company called Monster that will last for a very long time. I will warn you that they are pricey, but they will be charged when you want to take a picture.

I miss it when you don't blog daily, even if you think what you have to say is of little consequence! What did Chatterbox and American Crafts send? Anxious to hear.

I'm glad you're back online, it's always weird when you disappear for days at a time, because not only are you not posting, but you're not commenting either--weird.

I'm curious to know what you find out about the batteries, as I don't want to have that problem when I get my new camera.

Just because you feel that you don't have anything worth saying doesn't mean it's true. I enjoy even the mundane. Good luck with the batteries.

Jessie - when I bought my camera I was given the advice not to get a rechargable for this reason. So my camera just takes AA's, I always keep a couple of packs in my case so I haven't had to deal with this. I can only imagine the frustration! Can't some cameras do both? I have two batteries for my video camera and while the extra sits the energy still seems to drain and I get like 2 minutes of video! HATE IT! So I can feel your pain, I haven't been able to solve this....so we have very few videos and an expensive second battery that doesn't help!! Share if you find the secret!
