That was then...
For better or for worse-and I believe there's a little of both- here I am today. What difference has a year's time made?
Well, more than a few pounds heavier, several more inches of hair, and about 2,000 miles apart. My eyebrows are quite a bit lighter, but so are parts of my hair. My baby is now a toddler, and my husband a working professional.
It seems by and large that the goals I made last year still lay untouched or at best, dusty from infrequent use. I am not satisfied with every aspect of my life or my person, but I am happy. Using technology to have frequent contact wth my loved ones, in various times, is my life-line right now. All of my social contact takes place through the mail, email, phone, and blogs. But at least I have that, and the people it connects me to.

Oh I love this. And the new title. It so fits. I wish I looked as good as you do with a 30# difference- being so freakishly photogenic is just not fair. I love technology and the mail system.
Here here to technology. It's awesome that although far away from those you love your connection can be instantaneous. A year of living is a beautifully thing...you have done it well.
Great idea! When I saw that title in the circle journal, I immediately fell in love with it. It seems perfect for your blog. When I saw your post title, my first thought was that you had changed your colors and that it was going to be just like the changes that I have in the works...
I have to agree with Hannah that being so freakishly photogenic is NOT fair at all! (though I'm happy for you of course) Thank heavens for blogging, it is a lifeline now for sure.
Yeah, you look pretty amazing in both photos.
And I like the "Creative Loafing" - that's too awesome.
Hooray for technology - so many things I like to do revolve around it, and it is definitely a lifeline for long-distance relationships/friendships. (:
Great title Jessie, it's very creative only you could come up with it. I love the new picture it looks more like you to me.
I am so happy for technology so that we can stay in touch and for letters :)
You always look fabulous and your hair is ever-changing so I'm literally surprised every time I see you.
Great post.
