Special Visit

My mom and dad came down last weekend for almost 4 whole days, which for them is a long visit. Among other treats, we were able to visit Bella at her school for lunch twice. Not having a car, I have not been able to do this so far this year so we surprised her for the two school days they were in town for. Se was appropriately surprised and delighted to find not just one, but 4 unexpected visitors in her cafeteria!

I hate this goofy 'smile' of hers she has concocted.
She has lunch at 10:40(!) and my parents didn't get into town until the middle of the night so I had to force my dad out of the house before he even had a chance to shave, which is very uncharacteristic for him.
(She noticed the camera)
Grandpa's favorite girls. ( I like to think so anyway.)
(As we left her in her classroom)
I've said this before, but I love that mom and dad live close enough to visit often, and I love that they are willing to make the drive a few times a year. We're already lobbying to have them come for Thanksgiving.

I love that last photo of Bella! Sarah would always cry when it was time for us to leave after a special day at school.

Speaking of lobbying for your parents to come for Thanksgiving--how about Denver?! I'm rather dreading my first Thanksgiving without Grandma.

Having them be able to visit often is something I hope you never take for granted!

I can't imagine eating lunch at 10:40- that seems like such a big gap between lunch and when they go home!

I am trying to embrace our family-less Thanksgiving coming up. I have a feeling the holidays are going to be rough!

I think it's so nice of your parents to drive there to visit so often because that's a pretty long drive!

10:40am lunch is funny.

Whitney has been campaigning for me to bring her McDonald's lunch on her birthday ever since last year.

how nice that your parents are able to visit so often. I wish mine did!
I'll have to eat lunch with the kids sometime at school that is such a good idea! You're such a cool mom!

I'm totally jealous of your ability to see Mom & Dad so often. (And I'm sure Eva would take issue with your girls being the favorites...)

I haven't been to Eva's class yet, but start helping on Wednesdays this week. No lunch to join, however. That last photo of Bella is hurting my heart.

What great pictures! This is totally random (way out there) but you have really great eye make-up. I've been experimenting with liquid eye liner lately but haven't quite got it down. If you don't mind me asking, what brand do you use and how do you apply it so it looks nice and even? :)
