On tap today

A whole lotta... nothin'. Just the usual work around the house-projects and such. One one hand I can't wait to 'finish' all these projects so I can resume a normal routine- I thrive on routine. It's hard for me to instate sometimes, but once I do it makes a world of difference. I don't know how to focus my attention on more than one area of my life at a time, unfortunately. It is quite a detriment and a short-coming I neeed to work on. I'll get on that after I finish all these projects. So that was a big hand- on the other, little hand, I won't have much to do once I finish all of those. I mean, I'll have the regular routine of mother, wife, and housekeeper, and there's plenty there for to improve upon. I'm anxious to explore the whole city more and do fun things with Bella since she's being such a patient trooper. She just goes with it everyday- whatever I decide to do that day. That includes a lot of tv for her, and that's my fault.
But first:What the hell is this?
I mean, I know it's an annoying rash that stretches from collar to jaw line, but what is it caused by, and where did it come from? It's localized, and I can't think of any changes I've made, or products I've used... I feel gross. I probably should have worn my hair down today...

I was pining after Michelle and Hannah's recent SPs with their girls, so I tried to get a few of my own. Bella is incredibly hard to photograph! For one thing, she usually starts yelling at me if my picture-taking is going to interfere with whatever she is doing. That could be anything- If I stand in front of her, if I get too close to her, if I obscure her vision of the tv, and torture of all tortures- if I try to pose with her. Thus, I try and keep my camera handy for vouyeristic moments and hope for good light. Which isn't common inside.
But surprisingly, I got a few that are keepers! No frameable wall-hanging ones yet, but maybe someday...
And my own personal hell right now.

This is the state of my studio right now. My lofty goal is to have it all organized, unpacked and decorated by the end of the weekend. (ha.) The only painting left to do in there is my black d.i. dresser. I spent the last 4 days painting two 61/2 x 3 ft bookcases that I had planned to complete in one day. That's one coat of primer, and 2 coats of paint, complete with cutting in, drying time, etc. Apparently, after all the painting and projects I have completed I still have no concept of time.
Hoping to post before and afters on Monday.

That second SP is so cute. It is hard to get them to hold still- I used to take like 15 and get one that wasn't all weird. But! She is used to it now and will tell me to "Say Pickles!" or "Make a Smooshy Face!" It's now a game and fun to her, making for hilarious pictures. Bella looks so much older. Sigh.

Your studio does look like a hell hole, but you have a plan. You have the vision. Even looking at that picture I see so many little things peeking out that I can't wait to see where you put them. It's like waiting for Christmas to see how it is all going to come together. Then it will hurt to see it....

And the rash- could it be spray paint induced? Still anxiously waiting for that post by the way. I need instructions and visuals. Always visuals...

I hate mysterious rashes. This is also very gross, but I have had one ON MY EYELIDS for the past few weeks. I finally gave in and went to the dermatologist to get something for it, and it seems to have helped. But yeah, that sucked. The itchiness definitely didn't help the cause.

I'm excited to see how your studio turns out! I've always had great admiration for the things of beauty you creative people do...if only I could do more than admire. ;) But hey - admiring IS a lot of fun in its own right, so it's kinda like I get spoiled without the work! ;)

I love the pictures of you and Bella! Ah I miss you guys! The mysterious rash is definitely weird. Last summer I got a rash all over my back and it actually came from Grandma and Grandpa's hot tub! Grandpa didn't keep it at a high enough temperature to kill the microbes.

At least you have a plan for your studio. That's good though you got your couch space organized--the night I moved into my apartment, I was so tired and everything so was chaotic, but it was made so much better when I could organize just one small space on top of the dresser. You'll be done soon!! And in only a mere 6 days, we'll be reunited with Jim and all the others at Dunder Mifflin after a whole summer apart!

You and Bella look oh so beautiful. I miss you both.
Sorry about your rash, I hope it goes away soon. I would think it was the paint too but it's weird how it's just on that one spot.
Can't wait to see what you're going to do with your studio but ah looking at it now just gives me a headache.
love you!

That rash looks painful, any theories on where it came from...heat and humidity perhaps? Man-sized cicadas? Psycho spider in close proximity? Who knows?

You have lofty goals for this weekend, but you're also a productive gal so make sure to post your progress. I can't wait to see your finished studio.

I'm cracking up at Hannah saying your studio looks like a hell hole! But at least you have a vision... My studio looks like a hell hole, too, but there is no grand, overarching vision to give me hope. And, there is no way I could get it under control by the end of the weekend. I did get my black bookcase moved in there, though. I'm preparing myself for the envy that will inevitably come when you post the finished room!

Mysterious rashes can really get you down. I feel so helpless against them!

I'm jealous that you have a "studio." Can't wait to see the finished product. I tend to think I can do more than is reasonable in an allotted time, as well. I thought, for instance, that I could put up my fall decorations in an afternoon. That was three days ago. You should see the mess on my dining room table....

Very informative and entertaining! Asian Corner....wow, who would have thought! I understand that there are pockets of various cultures all over, so says my Indian project manager.

Your rash looks like a heat/sun rash that I get in the same place and sometimes in my hairline or chest. Did it get white "heads" later and itch? If so, I put drying zit cream on it and that seems to work. GROSS!

I hope that you are settling in. I can't believe that you live so far away and that Bella is so big.

Good luck with the studio and in your discoveries of more great shopping areas!

i was looking and reading about the studio and Taylor (3) was casually paying attention and the pictures of your room came up and he said. "that's a lot of crap Mom....a lot of crap." So from the wild west we send our first words of wisdom to you, my dear in the east.
