I second the vote for a hot shower. Last night, I was sooooooo beat after I got home. I still had some work to do and decided to try the hot shower at night instead of the next morning. It felt great, I got a tiny bit of second wind and had silky hair to boot that didn't need to be styled!
Yea!
With or without a new baby, this so holds true for me.
So true. I like to shower at night as well, but I forget that frequently in the busyness of night-time.
I think that is one of my most favorite things to do.
When my kids start to feel overwhelmed with homework, or whatever (or myself, for that matter) my sure-fire remedy is a hot shower and clean jammies!
That's why I have to shower every day, if I don't it affects my mood in a bad way. Sometimes I take a hot shower right before bed to relax me, plus I love going to bed feeling clean.
Those are restorative powers indeed. I'm a fan of that combo.
