Alright, it's not that close but you can still see some emerging lines around my eyes indicating I am starting to show my age. I got my hair cut at GreatClips-my 'salon' of choice, or rather, of necessity-the other night. I have had a different person every time I have been there and I liked her the best. My hair is especially funky this time, going every which way and I love it. I am not at my best here since this was post- girl's bedtime, no makeup applications since first thing this morning, 2-day hair...But still it feels me, and I love that especially at a time when my current weight and wardrobe doesn't really allow me to show myself through my clothes and overall appearance. Next up: crazy color. She said she's come to my house and do it for $20 plus the cost of color! I want to bleach out some small sections and do a strong color- suggestions? I'm thinking pink. Maybe red. Just enough to feel funky and fun, not enough to look bizarre or like I'm striving for a pre-motherhood life. I haven't done any fun colors since I've had kids but before that I tried just about everything. Off the top of my head: almost-black, brown, RED red, coppery with blond streaks, brown with blue streaks, blond with pink streaks, blond, BLOND, brown with large bleached panels... there's more I'm sure. It feels good to feel me.

i usually go to great clips, but the static electricty and my vow to "take back my life post 40" led me into an actual Salon the other day. LOVE the cut (i've gotten accustomed to having my hair cut with a razor.) and i made an appointment for color next week.
i always like to have a little fun and funk in my step. can't wait to see what you do with your color!
PINK! Totally add pink. I love it short on you. I wanna have the guts (seriously- the guts!) to chop mine off like that. Maybe this will be the year!
I don't have any color suggestions because I'm sure whatever you decide will be just right. It's amazing to me how you're always changing your hair and manage to look great with each change.

I just did hot pink highlights in my bangs and I'm in love with them. I can almost pass them off as "red" if I'm trying to be professional or something. :)
I am jealous that you can pretty much pull of ANY hair color under the sun. Seriously. Who can look as good with black hair or red hair as they do with blonde hair? It just doesn't happen but for you it does. No fair!
PS I think pre-marriage/motherhood I remember you with black hair that had turquoise streaks. I came back to BYU for a visit or graduation or something. It was when you were working at Great Harvest.
PS #2 Love the self portrait too, btw. It's very real and the lighting is awesome. Love it. As I'm typing this, I'm starting to think you might have some sort of rare genetic make-up that makes it possible for you to have any hair color you wish and also take the best self portraits. I'm just saying...
